Caterpillar

Welcome to Caterpillar Class!

Mrs Gulliver-Mullins, Mrs Blyth and Mrs Challoner make up the EYFS team - do ask us if you ever have any questions.

  • PE is on a Thursday and Friday - please send your child into school wearing their correct named PE kit on those days.
  • We place a strong emphasis on reading at home and are keen to support you in establishing a regular reading routine. Please write in your child's digital reading record every time they have read with you. Book bags containing the school reading book are needed in school every day.
  • All children need to bring a named water bottle in every day. Water only please.
  • As the weather is unpredictable, please ensure your child has a jumper and raincoat every day.

Phonics - a useful video for parents

This video explains the phonic code that we use to teach the children the mechanics of reading. We hope you find it useful, particularly with regards to the correct pronunciation of individual letter sounds. While this video mentions PhonicsBooks at the end, there are lots of reading schemes that follow the learning of phonics.
