In Caterpillar Class we use a mix of adult led teaching, adult initiated tasks and child-initiated play to teach a wide and varied curriculum. Whole class sessions, group work and individual challenges all play their part in ensuring children take the next steps in their learning journey.

In addition to using topic books in class, we use ClassDojo to share children's learning with parents and guardians. Parents can add their own photos, videos and observations of their child's learning adventures and milestones, in addition to those added by the EYFS team.

Weekly emails home inform parents of our week's learning, successes and adventures and provide parents with ways to support their child's learning at home. The EYFS team are around at the start and end of each day for informal chats about how your child is doing, and meetings can be arranged as necessary.
